A biocidal product consisting of, containing or releasing a relevant active substance may no longer be placed on the EU market if the manufacturer or supplier of the active substance or biocidal product is not listed on the Article 95 list of the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) together with the associated product types. Particular attention must be paid to biocidal products manufactured in situ, which were not previously covered by the old Biocidal Products Directive. Update 03 June 2024: The evaluation of biocidal active substances continues. Even though the evaluation programme should have been completed in 2024, not all active substances have yet been fully evaluated and an extension of the evaluation programme from 6 years to 2030 is currently being discussed. The following biocidal active substances have recently been authorised/approved and the deadline for submitting biocidal product dossiers has not yet passed. If you make products available on the market that contain these active substances, you must submit a biocidal product dossier in accordance with BPR Regulation 528/2012 in order to benefit from the transitional measures and ensure further commercialisation:
